Lissette: 37 Pounds Lost

I have been with The Institute for Weight Management since October 6, 2012. My experience here has been a positive one. The first phone call I made to set up the consultation appointment, I spoke with Ellen. Ellen listened to my needs and kindly explained their services, and I knew right away that this institute was the right place for me. I scheduled my consultation with Anjana Chhabra, MD.

Dr. Chhabra is a magnificent physician, and her staff is so wonderful. Dr. Chhabra is very thorough with her questions and is an excellent listener. She understood what it would take for me to get back into good physical shape and to help me reach my goal weight.

On my first visit, I weighed in at 200 lbs. I met with the nutritionist every two weeks after I visited with Dr. Chhabra and learned about portion control and healthy eating during group sessions. The group sessions are a great way to learn from one another.

I am happy to say that as of today, I am weighing in at 163 lbs. I have managed to lose 37 lbs., and my goal weight is 150 lbs.
